Diagnostic Steps

Verify the transformer circuit has power and low-voltage output is present.

Inspect button condition and wiring at the push button.

Check chime terminal connections for looseness or corrosion.

Bypass the button momentarily with proper test method to determine whether chime responds.

If transformer output is missing, inspect line-voltage feed and transformer condition.
