Sullair LS-20 Rotary Screw Air Compressor

Safety Warnings

  • Do not service while unit is running or pressurized

Fluid Maintenance

Sullair AWF Fluid Change Intervals

  • Initial fill: Change at 500 hours
  • Subsequent: Change every 2000 hours or annually
  • Fluid analysis: Recommend every 500 hours for extended drain intervals
  • Capacity: 13.5 gallons

Fluid/Separator Filter Replacement

  1. Run compressor to normal operating temperature
  2. Shut down and allow to cool slightly
  3. Depressurize via unloader valve
  4. Drain fluid at drain valve
  5. Remove and replace fluid filter
  6. Remove separator tank cover and replace separator element
  7. Refill with correct fluid type and quantity
  8. Run 30 minutes – check for leaks

Separator Condition Test

  • Measure differential pressure across separator
  • New: 2-4 psi
  • Replace when: > 10 psi or annually
  • Carryover test: Oil in discharge air > 2-3 ppm = replace separator

V-Belt Tension

  • Deflection method: 1/64" per inch of span
  • Example: 16" span = 1/4" deflection with 4 lbs force
  • Replace belts in matched sets only
